The aim of this study; By examining the relationship between life satisfaction and the meaning of leisure time in university students; The aim of this study is to investigate the opinions of university students on recreational activities and to examine the reasons why they turn to these activities and their relationship with life satisfaction The study is important because it reflects the importance of recreation, which is an important factor in the life satisfaction of university students, and will help university administrations determine a study map in this direction. For this purpose, a questionnaire consisting of questions about leisure participation and satisfaction was applied to a total of 406 individuals studying at Necmettin Erbakan University. The "Leisure Meaning" scale, developed by Esteve et al. (1999) and validated in Turkish by Gürbüz et al. (2007), was used to determine the level of meaning that participants gave to their leisure time. It was developed by Diener et al. (1985) to determine the level of life satisfaction. 'Life Satisfaction Scale' adapted to Turkish by Yetim (1993) was used. Data were analyzed with SPSS 23.0 program. According to the results of the Skewness and Kurtosis test performed to determine whether the data showed a normal distribution, it was determined that the data showed a normal distribution. After it was determined that the data showed a normal distribution, independent samples t-test was performed for independent variables with 2 options, and one-way analysis of variance (Anova) was performed for variables with more than two options. Pearson Correlation analysis was carried out to determine the relationship between the related scales. As a result, in this study, in which the relationship between life satisfaction and the meaning of leisure time was examined, the students of Necmettin Erbakan University, who constituted the sample group, on the relationship between the meaning of recreational activities and life satisfaction; significant differences according to the gender, age and income level variable, and no significant difference according to the faculty and type of education variable.
